Book written by a lawyer questioning Christianity?

I am writing a speech on whether the bible is true and I heard there was a book written by a lawyer who at first set out to disprove once and for all that Christianity is a fraud. When the lawyer finished the book he became a christian. I am looking for both the author and title of the book.
