Have any Christian apologists ever become atheists?

Christians are always posting on here how so many atheists have tried to disprove Christianity and wound up Christians, and of course a high percentage of atheists used to be Christian, but it's not really the same thing, since as far as I can tell those former Christians were never aware of the actual evidence for Christianity, whereas atheists are usually aware of the evidence against Christianity. So I'm wondering if any Christian apologist has ever become an atheist, since that person would by definition understand the arguments in favor of Christianity before becoming entrenched in the atheistic position.
