I think my birth control pills are making me crazy?

I was on yasmin for about a year and I never noticed anything different in my attitude but it wasn't helping so my doctor switched me to a different one called ogestrel and about a month after taking it I became extremely sad all the time. I'm soooo emotional and cry over every little thing. I'm going through a break up of two years and I don't know if I'm just extremely sad over that or if my birth control is making it worse. I don't even feel like the same person. Did anyone else have this problem? I feel insane /:
