When was the concept of hell bolted on or Incorporated in to the Christian faith?

Actually, Jesus himself mentions hell more than any other person in the Bible. He describes an account of the rich man in hell. The rich man is "in anguish from the flame". He also describes it as a place where the flame is never quenched and the worm never dies.
